Columbus Elementary School

George Mills, our longtime custodian, retired at the end of December. Columbus teachers and students wanted to show him how much we appreciated his commitment to maintaining  our beautiful building.  Students created large posters spelling out "Thank You George".  All students and teachers assembled on the soccer field waiting for George to appear on the roof.   Some how Mr. Galland had George go to the roof to check on something. It was planned to be a surprise and it was a big surprise. From below it rang out "Thank you George, Thank you George."
